A perfect place for summer getaway?

Summer is approaching and we all want to have a perfect place to spend this season. Do you want to escape the city, be relaxed, and have  nature tripping? There is this resort in Los Banos, Laguna that can satisfy your longing.

Come on, here are the seven (7) reasons why you should choose Laresio Lakeside Resort for your next summer getaway!

Why Choose Laresio As Your Summer Destination?

1. It is very accessible.
You can reach Laresio by land and it is just only a less than an hour drive from Makati (if not traffic of course!). If you don’t like to sail a boat or ride an airplane, Laresio is a perfect option.

2. The mother nature is with them and they can share it with you.
Laresio is a hidden gem located in Tadlac, Los Baños, Laguna. If you’re inside the resort, you can feel that you are in paradise. They offer extreme nature tripping quality. They have direct access to the nature preserved Tadlac Lake which is a crater lake within Laguna Lake. This is the favorite jet ski area of the former President Marcos. Just imagine!

They also have Camp Q, The Quarried Hill which has a bird sanctuary, a camping ground, “beach” volleyball, outdoor lake archery, a venue for a garden wedding and a lot more.

You don’t just do sight-seeing, you actually interact with nature up close and personal.

It also has a majestic view of Mount Makiling, a great canvass for that instagram-able backdrop.

3. They are versatile.

Laresio has well-thought and social media inspired activities and amenities. Laresio is sensitive to the clamour of the netizens, whatever goes viral and adaptable, they bring it to life here.

An unexpected opportunity with Laresio Lakeside Resort

Laresio Lakeside Resort is now becoming popular among travellers and adventure enthusiasts. This is because they offer the best activities for people who wanted to experience thrill and fun.

Today marks my one year and two months connection with Laresio. I am very grateful to the management for trusting me to work for them. I may not be one of their human resources or staff but I am very much happy working “behind the scenes”. From making their Project Proposal of the “Extreme sports activities”, writing blogs, making Environmental Impact Assessment Report for their Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) application and creating literary for their website.

First blog- It's when they still don't have extreme activities
The Project Proposal for Extreme Activities
Second blog- Laresio 3 experience

Third blog- When I experienced the wall climbing, rappelling!

As I visited the area last July 12, 2016, I was really impressed on the progress of the resort. They are really trying to address all those negative reviews for their client’s satisfaction. I saw their improvement from the beginning of their operation up to the present.

From the big outdoor movie screen!! “This is my first love” and then…

·         After some months, they established wall climbing, rappelling, and zip line!
·         Then, kayaks, balsa rafting, slip and dip and cliff diving!
·         Then, slip and fly and vine swing, camping area.
·         And recently they have human catapult, aqua bike, trampoline and zipline in the lake!
·         And last time I visited (last July 12, 2016), they are now building a gym and mini bar!

And I am excited to see the next! What else can they offer?

Whenever I hear people talking about Laresio, I felt joy in my heart. I remember one time when I was in Nagsasa, Zambales, one group of people talked about their excitement on their scheduled trip in Laresio. Seeing Laresio in the television makes me really so happy and proud of it. For just only a year they are now talk of the town!

By becoming popular of course might eventually lead to either positive results or negative one. But of course the former should be welcomed.

How I wish that they may be able to really help in conserving and protecting “Tadlac Lake” and promote ecotourism instead of “mass tourism”.

I also hope that they will consider the carrying capacity of the area whenever they book tourists.

There’s a lot of reason why we need to visit Laresio. Want to know why? Just visit them and see for yourself.

To the management of Laresio Lakeside Resort, I congratulate all of you for helping the community of Tadlac.  And most of all "Thank you for letting us experience a one of a kind adventure." All the best!

5 Places to visit in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines

Amazing places filled with amazing nature, people and sumptuous  food? (ELBI) in Laguna is the best place you can visit. It’s just a 2 hour drive from Manila.

Here are some of my favorite places to visit in ELBI.

1. La Resio Lakeside Resort and Spa Inc.

I think I really love this resort, every experience in their place is superb! You know what I mean? If you love a place, talagang babalik-balikan hindi ba? Palaging may surprises, palaging bago at talaga namang garantisadong sulit ang ibabayad mo.

From the La Resio Public experience (http://definitelyfilipino.com/blog/2015/05/03/laguna-residential-resort-la-resio-a-place-for-summer-getaway/) to La Resio Private Pool (http://definitelyfilipino.com/blog/2015/07/19/the-road-to-alligator-lake-la-resio/) and now the CAMP LA RESIO ADVENTURE, oh yes they have their promo now: the "EXPERIENCE LARESIO ALL DAY!"

1k per head. It includes a lot of activities: 1) Zipline, 2) Wall climbing, 3) Rappelling, 4) Diving 5) Slide and dip, 6) Kayaking, 7) Balsa rafting and Plus the basics: 8) Hot spring pool, 9) Basketball in the pool, 10) Slides, 11) Including lunch.

We did enjoy the view of the Majestic Mount Makiling, as always and the Beautiful and enchanting TADLAK LAKE.

The Biak na Bundok

Diving oh!

Zipline Ride

Balsa Rafting

Wall Climbing

2.  University of the Philippines Los Baños, (Freedom Park)

If you want to feel the campus life or rather jog early in the morning or late in the afternoon, the UPLB Freedom Park is the best place to be with. During my college days, ang paborito kong spot ay ang bench, there I will just watch the students or sa gabi I will do some star gazing. Ang sarap mangarap while looking at the sky, masarap din dito ang sariwang hangin plus sobrang amazing ng view. I also love the tree students called “Fertility tree” dahil through the years, dumaan man ang ilang bagyo, nanatili pa rin itong nakatayo kasama ng Carillon Tower.

Fertility Tree

3. Bonitos Bar and Restaurant in Los Baños, Laguna

This is one of my favorite resto in ELBI. They offer various dishes from hamburgers, gourmet salads, juicy and tender ribs, crispy kare-kare, sisig, BBQs, brick oven-baked pizza, nachos, and rice meals. My favorite dishes are 1) Kani Salad, 2) Parmesan Potato Wedges, 3)   Ravioli Lasagna, 4) Kalderetang Batangas  and for the desserts are 5) Ultimate Chocolate Cake and 6) Choco-Banana  Ice cream shakes. Sulit talaga!

You can find their menus here: http://bonitosbarandresto.wix.com/bonitos2015

4.               Mernel’s Place

I love Mernel’s chocolate cake ever since nakilala koi to when I was student in ELBI. The cake is simply delicious and mas better ang taste compared to commercialized chocolate cakes. Hindi ko makakalimutang bumisita sa Mernel’s Place everytime na may occasion na importante sa aking buhay including anniversary, birthday or monthsary kasi affordable ang Mernel’s cake. If you want to try something new, try to visit their stores in ELBI located at Lopez Avenue (along the way to UPLB) and the second outlet is near South Supermarket along the Los Baños national highway.

 Price of their cakes:
a) Heart Shape (small) Php 140.00
b) Heart Shape (Medium) Php 180.00
c) 8" round cake Php 270.00
d) 10" round cake Php 420.00
e) 9x13 small rectangle cake Php 510.00Yema filling add Php 80.00

5) Duplex Hotspring Villa

A world class resort with various amenities. This is one of the best resorts in ELBI. I will always include this in my list. Please revisit my blog about Duplex!
