5 Places to visit in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines

Amazing places filled with amazing nature, people and sumptuous  food? (ELBI) in Laguna is the best place you can visit. It’s just a 2 hour drive from Manila.

Here are some of my favorite places to visit in ELBI.

1. La Resio Lakeside Resort and Spa Inc.

            I think I really love this resort, every experience in their place is superb! You know what I mean? If you love a place, talagang babalik-balikan hindi ba? Palaging may surprises, palaging bago at talaga namang garantisadong sulit ang ibabayad mo.

1k per head. It includes a lot of activities: 1) Zipline, 2) Wall climbing, 3) Rappelling, 4) Diving 5) Slide and dip, 6) Kayaking, 7) Balsa rafting and Plus the basics: 8) Hot spring pool, 9) Basketball in the pool, 10) Slides, 11) Including lunch.

We did enjoy the view of the Majestic Mount Makiling, as always and the Beautiful and enchanting TADLAK LAKE.

2.  University of the Philippines Los Baños, (Freedom Park)

            If you want to feel the campus life or rather jog early in the morning or late in the afternoon, the UPLB Freedom Park is the best place to be with. During my college days, ang paborito kong spot ay ang bench, there I will just watch the students or sa gabi I will do some star gazing. Ang sarap mangarap while looking at the sky, masarap din dito ang sariwang hangin plus sobrang amazing ng view. I also love the tree students called “Fertility tree” dahil through the years, dumaan man ang ilang bagyo, nanatili pa rin itong nakatayo kasama ng Carillon Tower.

3. Bonitos Bar and Restaurant in Los Baños, Laguna

            This is one of my favorite resto in ELBI. They offer various dishes from hamburgers, gourmet salads, juicy and tender ribs, crispy kare-kare, sisig, BBQs, brick oven-baked pizza, nachos, and rice meals. My favorite dishes are 1) Kani Salad, 2) Parmesan Potato Wedges, 3)   Ravioli Lasagna, 4) Kalderetang Batangas  and for the desserts are 5) Ultimate Chocolate Cake and 6) Choco-Banana  Ice cream shakes. Sulit talaga!

4.               Mernel’s Place

            I love Mernel’s chocolate cake ever since nakilala koi to when I was student in ELBI. The cake is simply delicious and mas better ang taste compared to commercialized chocolate cakes. Hindi ko makakalimutang bumisita sa Mernel’s Place everytime na may occasion na importante sa aking buhay including anniversary, birthday or monthsary kasi affordable ang Mernel’s cake. If you want to try something new, try to visit their stores in ELBI located at Lopez Avenue (along the way to UPLB) and the second outlet is near South Supermarket along the Los Baños national highway.

5) Duplex Hotspring Villa
